702 Communications of Fargo-Moorhead announces that it will expand its current services portfolio to include the opening of a Hybrid Data Center in Fargo, ND in 2019.
Intended to serve not only retail customers in Fargo/Moorhead, but also fellow Internet/Transport Carriers, the carrier-neutral structure, which exceeds Tier 2 data center specifications, will have over 7,000 square feet of colocation space.
“When the opportunity was presented to obtain this facility, we were excited,” explained Brian Crommett, Sales and Service Manager at 702. “We’ve started to have preliminary discussions with carriers and customers and we’re getting a lot of interest.”
As well as expanding 702’s service portfolio to meet the needs of current and future clients, the additional space will greatly enhance 702’s network redundancy, providing a second central office for the company.
“We’ve long looked for a second central office to ensure service through natural disaster.” Crommett said. “This data center gives us that and also the opportunity to develop new service offerings for our customers.”
Headquartered at 702 Main Avenue in downtown Moorhead, 702 Communications is a local telecommunications provider that has fiber optic facilities interconnecting with all the inter-exchange carriers in Minnesota. For more information, visit www.702com.com
